The Eclipse Is Coming

Good Evening All,

We hope everyone is doing well! Tomorrow is the big solar eclipse; the last one this area is going to see for roughly 20 years. That might have you thinking, what can I do to capture this event? That's what tonight's blog is all about. There are a few things you can do to capture the event.

  • First, the Clarksville area is expected to see 97% totaility. It should occur at approximently 12:44 PM.

  • Second, safety is the most important thing tomorrow. Do not put yourself in a dangerous situation to take pictures.

  • Eye protection is critcal during the event! REGULAR sunglasses are not strong enough for the concentrated rays produced by the eclipse. Make sure you have proper eye protection.

  • Protecting your camera is also important to ensure it does not recieve any damage because of the extra strong rays. For those tips, I found this information from NASA.

Please be careful and enjoy tomorrow.
